Space on my desk is precious. Only useful stuff survives. The fuel station is holding up nicely.

Volker - can it supply enough power for the iPad? On your original post you said it was a little weak so I'm guessing it is fine for phones but can it charge the iPad whose normal charger supplies more power than the iPhone's one can (although it still seems to charge the iPad but slowly)?

John, I have not tried that. The documentation says it will charge slowly and may not fully charge.

I charge my iPad through the original Apple charger and a another Belkin 2.1 A charger. The Conserve Valet does not really fit the iPad anyway since it's much smaller. I do have an original iPod cable running from the back of my iMac that I use to sync and charge iPhone, iPods and the iPad when I am at my desk.

Is there an (easy) way to replace the USB mini & micro cables that come with the unit or are they not even connected via USB internally?

Joerg Michael, 2010-11-04

The unit has three USB ports on the back, and one at the right side. Make sure you read the comments in the original post.
