Airplay works perfect with music and videos in the Itunes-Library, but not with my own videos from the Iphone. Picture are distorted and not full screen size.
Ich weiss nicht recht, was das mit dem neuen Apple TV soll. Wenn der Computer aus ist, kann ich meine Musik und meine Filme doch gar nicht abspielen - oder gibt's auch ein NAS, das an den Apple TV streamen kann. Ich darf also ein Gerät kaufen, damit ich danach Filme bei Apple kaufen. Schon dreist, wie Apple sich auch noch den DVD-Markt unter den Nagel reißen will.
Is it really limited to 720p? That would rule it out for me. I was close to buy a WD Live as the popcornhour is too old, the popbox is not stable, and the WD thingy just works and is similarly priced and does not care about the crap Apple forces their users to follow.
Would the Apple TV play mkv files without changing anything? I know you could on the old model when you put anything but the Apple software on it...
But then, FWIW, my Samsung TV plays mkv files on its own and quite well even, so that purchase mentioned above is on hold for now.
Christian, so ist es. Aber es funktioniert. Für mich interessant: Bilder direkt vom iPhone übertragen. Das werde ich nochmal erzählen.
Ja, Axel. 720p und keine Formate, die man sich aus dem Internet besorgt. Das können andere Boxen besser. Aktuell nehme ich dazu die EVA. Und demnächst erzähle ich was von der neuen Netgear-Lösung, die nicht mehr so teuer ist.
As my collagues told me from the test in their lab the WDTV live sucks a lot of power while in standby. Other Boxes are much better in Energy saving.
Volker, as the black friday approaches, would you recommend the new apple tv, when you are in a apple environment at home?
Dirk, Apple TV ist heute nicht billiger. Ich hab's noch nicht lange genug getestet, um es empfehlen zu können.
