Don't make me break out my Internotes Web Publisher manual or DevCon '98 Lotus Dominoes!

Bah, humbug!

Volker Weber, 2011-02-16

2003 is much much much nicer than 1999. Or was it 1899 (it looks alike)?

Sven Richert, 2011-02-16

No, 1999 was much nicer. 2003 was the year that IBM renamed Sametime to "IBM Lotus Instant Messaging and Web Conferencing". That did not work so well. Neither did some other things they started

Maybe they keep the presentations so that they know where they've been in order to have a better handle on where they want to go? Or, for new hires, "Review these so that you know why things are the way they are." :-)

Mark Judd, the so called "Javascript Bigot"...I miss him ;)

Michael Bourak, 2011-02-16

Oh, my! Blast from the past. I still have some apps we built from that era, too!
First time we did a talk on JavaScript, Mark insisted on doing the whole thing in HTML and DHTML. :) He's also the one who came up with the "shimmer" codename.

This was the DevCon in San Francisco, no? At the Merriot? I wish I still had that messenger bag. Can't find it to save my life. Very cool flashback. Thanks for sharing.

Carlos Casas, 2011-02-17

I loved that messenger bag to bits and pieces. Sadly, Lotus never did another one. Only boring backpacks.
