I got that too... New hoax on me though. Not nice.
Everybody in his address book gets it.
We had a couple of guys who had their hotmail accounts hijacked a few months ago and got e-mails supposedly from them - one from Nigeria and one from Madrid similar to the one above.
Strangely we knew that both of them either were, or had recently been in the countries they claimed to be stranded in. However we knew there was something not quite right because they are engineers and the spelling was perfect.
In the interests of full disclosure I should probably say I am (or claim to be) an engineer too. :-)
They probably got their account hacked there.
Carl Taylor posted an awesome Sametime chat with someone trying to pull this same stunt. Couldn't find it in an initial search will try to post later.
