HTC Incredible S just became available in Germany
by Volker Weber
I have not had the chance to really use the Incredible S, but from all the latest Android phones I had the chance to play with for at least five minutes, I liked this one best. It holds very well in your hand, has great materials and a good size. You have to touch it to understand. :-)
Anyway, if you are in the market for an Android phone, consider this model.

What is the past experience with OS updates from HTC? Does HTC follow Google's Android releases and offer/provide vendor OS updates (including Sense UI) in a reasionable time or are there chances that I get stuck with the pre-installed OS version 2.2? In other words: Would I have to buy 'as-is' or with the chance to partcipate in the Android evolution (for a certain period, say 2-3 years, and including security fixes)?
Sowas macht bisher nur Apple.
Nothing heard yet about the Nokia E7, bad news?
Ludwig, sort of. I don't like the E7 more than the N8. Actually I like the N8 better than the E7. I will hold off further judgement on Symbian until Nokia's releases PR 2.0 and maybe even wait for PR 3.0.
The N8 has a wonderful hardware, the E7 adds the keyboard, and loses the excellent camera.
Honestly, once you have Swype installed on the N8, who will miss a physical keyboard? It is just a step back. Try Swype and you will never want a click-ety-clack-type again. Especially since it comes with (almost) as many keyboard layouts as you might ever need. (I am using english/german/thai...)
