The WWF format is a PDF that cannot be printed out. It’s a simple way to avoid unnecessary printing.

ah... i guess that's the same reason why i *always* struggle to configure printers - no matter if i'm on windows, macosx or linux - so printers aren't just the most annoying gadget, the OS vendors are simply so green that they make it as complicated as possible to get them to work :)
"Decide for yourself which documents don't need printing out – then simply save them as WWF. " => I can not decide that when I -save- a document. I still can (and will) take a screenshot, OCR that and still save in a printable format. I agree, wasted time to develop this and further useless.
now they've lost their mind. I always try not to say this, but treehuggers are getting on my nerves more anf more.
Who am I to decide what somebody else wants to print..or not.
Haha, although I know a few people I'd love to send one of those...isn't it just the feature that is built into PDF anyway set to a const?

Folks, this is more marketing than serious file format. I like that idea. Of course, nobody will actually use it.
