For those who know: the PAPI to the left was one red - one white all the time, it turned red-red just over the fence ;-)

Hajo Schmitt, 2011-05-06

Juliet Lima Heavy. We walked away from the landing. :-)

Volker Weber, 2011-05-06

Congrats for the landing in Engelsbach...
Did you bring down 2 tons or more ;-)

Eric Bredtmann, 2011-05-06

Tssss... plank pilots ... need loads of concrete to get of the ground and back.
Was it a good or a great landing? After a great landing you can use the airplane again.

Christian Tillmanns, 2011-05-06

...and we were in a........?? Don't tell half a story. :-)

John Lindsay, 2011-05-06

I was in a plane. :-)

Volker Weber, 2011-05-06

Uahhahah ... Probably C150? Which is a slightly bigger Version of the C130.
No, serious. We would all like to know, what plane you were in.
We promise not to laugh.

Christian Tillmanns, 2011-05-06

At least there is a McDonald's handy if you overshoot the end of the runway.

Ed Brill, 2011-05-06

@Ed: I had no idea what EFDE stands for although I used to live very close. Spotting the McDonald's sign made it obvious it had to be egelsbach.
@Volker: I don't care what plane it was, I envy you

Matthias Roeder, 2011-05-06

@Matthias: Don't envy Volker. Learn flying. It isn't rocket sience. Anybody can do it. If you go for the UL planes, it is even affordable and you don't have to deal as much with the Luftfahrt Bundesamt (aka biggest unlighted obstacle in aviation).
BTW I think it was Hajo flying anyway.

Christian Tillmanns, 2011-05-07

Look at the infamous McBeacon in the background. ;)
