Facebook trying to help

by Volker Weber

They are quite busy inventing new things to annoy their users.

If I'm understanding this correctly (based on their help file and the incoming review requests I'm getting), it appears the only Smart Lists that don't inform people when you add them are "Close Friends, Acquaintances and Restricted". If that is the case this will greatly restrict my use of this feature. How I choose to categorize people should be my own business and no one else's. Google+ Circles handles this properly, it looks like Facebook Smart Lists may not.

I think my statement above is wrong, and it is not just the 3 default smart lists that do not inform the members. Whew.

After the recent changes I would say: facebook could be the new MySpace... :-/

It´s really annoying. I don´t want to waste my time with research attempts in order to understand new features. I guess Facebook lost track since Google+ is in place and behaves a little bit like the liberal party FDP in Germany. Uncontrolled activism instead of a clear strategy.

Some nice responses here...
