You cannot use Nokia Software Updater for Mac:
Update to Symbian Belle is not possible with NSU for Mac (due to required backup/restore)

The update will create chaos about entering the security code. Just input any code, your phone will complain but work without problems.

I wonder why it was not possible to update OTA like the Anna version though.
I was about to buy a Lumina because Anna felt a bit sluggish on my phone, but I will probably hold onto my N8 a bit longer now.
