USG IT committee chair Josh Chen ’14 delivered the latest updates on the USG’s collaborative effort with the Office of Information Technology to switch the undergraduate student body’s current email server from Webmail to either Gmail or Microsoft Office 365 at Sunday’s Senate meeting. OIT recently polled a group of 150 students who piloted the two options. The students participating in the pilot were chosen from those who replied to an earlier campus-wide email.
Of the 150 students who tested the products, only two chose to use Office 365.
