Wieso, ist doch professionell vorbereitet. Da sie damit rechnen, dass es hängen bleibt, gibt es ein Ersatz-Tablet. Besser wäre es natürlich, wenn es gar nicht hängen bleiben würde - aber das ist ja Microsoft Internet Explorer.
ich bin sicher, dass auch Apple ein Ersatzgerät unterm Tisch hat, für den Fall der Fälle (auch wenn es wohl noch nicht passiert ist...)

Which was a very successful launch. It killed OS/2.
I always thought, IBM killed OS/2 itself ;-)
Sad that the demo unit failed, but wow, impressive performance by the presenter.
At least they had a backup. Could have been worse!
In my previous comment to Surface I judged Microsofts strategy as not promising yet.
Here is one of the reasons: Forget the not responding GUI in the presentation, can happen and I feel sorry for the presenter.
What's obvious is, that in contradiction to some expectations, the most mentioned term was 'entertainment' not 'Office'.
Is Microsoft trying to compete with the Apple-story in general?
In order to not being 'just a copy' they need to convince customers with a better/more common Office-environment. Entertainment will be the harder way to go ...
