IFTTT integrates with Belkin Home Automation
by Volker Weber
Today marks our first foray into the physical world. Now IFTTT works with Belkin’s WeMo devices! WeMo is a family of simple, ingenious products that allow you to control home electronics from anywhere. Turn them on or off, trigger them with motion, even put them on a schedule. You’ll find two new exciting Channels - The WeMo Switch and the WeMo Motion - on our Channels page.
WeMo isn't available here. Can't wait to get my hands on that.

When you like IFTTT you can have a look at Supermechanical's Twine. It goes the other way around: connect the physical world into an IFTTT envionment.
What is the issue with availability beyond adapting to european plugs and 220 volts? That should not be too difficult for Belkin, I suppose...
Belkin tells me that in Germany they will launch the full line of devices all at once, while in the US they launch them as the individual devices become available. IFA isn't too far, isn't it?
agree ;-)
WeMo Switch: definitely want a couple of those. Wireless power switch for fifty bucks: not bad at all!
@vowe: I would guess it is the only affordable way (more in sense of process and headaches than money) to get the VDE certification for the gear. I hope they launch in UK too (that's the plugs we use in Singapore). I'm currently playing with efergy to measure consumption, combining with WeMo seems interesting.
