Google+ Events defused

When Google launched Events on Google+, they made a major mistake: everybody could invite anyone. Linus Torvalds:

Ok, so how do I disable the stupid event invites from showing up on my home screen?

Solution right now: stop using G+. I'm seeing zero actual posts, everything is just event invites from people I don't know.

Bye bye.

Not exactly what Google wanted. And they applied a very quick fix. Only people in your circles can invite you. Now we need an option to tell G+ which circles. You don't want people from your "Annoying Idiots" circle to invite you, do you?

And as you can see in the photo above, you can tuck away features you are not using into the More category.

Now everybody's hoping he's not in your "Annoying Idiots" circle... Would I test it with a fake invite... no ;)...

Actually, Ingo, I'm hoping I *am*.

Tim, I'm afraid, not. But since you are not posting anything, there is no need to put you in a circle. Plus, I don't find you annoying at all. So it would be the "Follow" circle.
