Returning the Lumia 925

by Volker Weber

As the German saying goes 'Das Bessere ist des Guten Feind', the 1020 has beaten the 925 hands down. As I am writing this the 925 is being reset to factory values and goes back to Nokia at the next opportunity. I have not used it once since I had the 1020. It may be lighter but I want the bigger camera. I have a lot more potential to lose weight but a mobile phone. Actually I am prepared to gain some weight on the phone side of things. I will keep you posted.

After reading the Steven Alvarez article, I believe "Lens selection is a different matter, something Alvarez’s pro camera offers but where the Lumia fall short. For now." may be somehow related to you gaining some weight on the phone side. Or, you may just be waiting for delivery of a 1520.

Joerg Michael, 2013-11-04 20:09

I am waiting for the 1520. And yes, Nokia will stay at the forefront of camera technology. The 1020 will find its master. But not very soon.

Volker Weber, 2013-11-04 20:11

Damn, so we'll have to wait a little longer for "lens selection".

Joerg Michael, 2013-11-05 07:13

A little longer. Or forever.

Volker Weber, 2013-11-05 07:57

Über Geschmack lässt sich bekanntlich nicht streiten but I liked what I read about the 925 somewhere else: It's the first phone Nokia has made in a long time that looks like it was designed for adults ...

Jochen Kattoll, 2013-11-05 17:11

Grabstätte schon reserviert?

Volker Weber, 2013-11-05 17:18

But why did the Nokia guys put the "For now." in there?

Joerg Michael, 2013-11-05 20:01

Klar, Grabstein ist ausgesucht, jetzt wo die Pickel aus dem Gesicht sind und ein seriöses Businessphone vorhanden...
