Sonos and Google - did you get the significance?

Sonos made a very significant announcement today, and it's not obvious how the game changes.

From today on you can use Google Play Music All Access with Sonos, just like any other music service, via the music player. But the Android Google Play Music app gains a new feature. You can now

On Android there are now two ways to play your Google music. Either through the Sonos controller, or the Google app. That's a new capability, and I expect the same thing to happen with other music services, that have a better user experience than what Sonos provides. And that's pretty huge.

It's nice to have a real "shuffle" function on my Sonos now. I'm tempted to move my music library from Amazon to Google in order to take full advantage of this.

The storage will be more expensive, but I've not been satisfied with Amazon's album sorting features. Really basic, and definitely doesn't work well with classical music. I'll need to test the Google Play app for an improvement here, but if it works the balance will be tipped enough for me to make the move.
