Name five apps you are missing on Windows Phone
by Volker Weber
Please name five apps you are missing on Windows Phone. Not five apps that you think should be there, but five you are personally missing.
Mine are, and I am aware there are alternatives for some of those apps:
I'd appreciate your comments and will make sure that Microsoft reads them.
Comments
1. Sonos
2. simfy
3. shopshop
Not missing much more...
1. Sonos
2. Threema (coming soon)
1. Sonos
2. general CalDAV support
3. general CardDAV support
4. sophisticated email
5. automatic time synchronisation
So it is more like one missing app and four generally missing features.
1. Sonos
2. GReader
3. ...?
Please stay focussed on apps. Torsten, #5 is already in. Daniel, if you are looking for a Feedly reader, I recommend NextGen Reader. Awesome app.
Hangouts
Google+
Google Now
1. Twitterclient (I mean, a really good one like Tweetbot)
2. 1Password (a good one)
3. Jawbone UP
4. Pocket App
5. Watchever App
And of course I would pay for it.
Thanks, Karl. One remark: 3rd party Twitter clients are dead. They just don't know it yet.
* Sonos
* Trello
* finanzblick
* mobile.de
* tizi
- Good Reader
- Papers
Agricola
- c't
1. Sonos
2. Glympse. There does seem to be an outdated version available for the US market only.
3. Flickr. The currently available app is very outdated, and I think it's a shame that Flickr does not properly support the best camera phones on the market. Also, I am aware that the 3rd party alternatives Flickr Booth and Flickr Central are more than just usable. But still...
4. Google+. The browser based version is a pain, it does not render photos properly, and posting, well, I just don't do it anymore.
5. Did I mention Sonos?
Sonos
Flickr
c't
IBM Connections
IBM Meetings
Instapaper
Hootsuite
Philips Insight
Bose Soundtouch
Pushover
BBM
Swype

1. Poweramp
2. Gtalk
3. Chrome
5. Tweetdeck oder Hootsuite
1. Dropbox
2. Watchever
3. Fussball.de (für Amateurfussballspiele)
4. Fritz Box Fon
5. Google Maps/Google Plus
Mein Sohn wünscht sich Clash of Clans, meine Tochter Sims4.
"Freunde" analog iOS *eingebaut* (1st Party)
Sonos
Pebble
1. 1Password
2. SoundCloud
3. Misfit
4. Dropbox
5. Reeder/TweetBot (not sure, but would be okay without them)
(left out apps which are available on WP, but don't have the latest features (Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, ...) which is quite important to me)
1. PlayStation App
2. Threema
3. Sonos
4. Watchever
5. Pebble
Als Regenradar Alternative kann ich Rain Alarm empfehlen.
Nextgen Reader ist wirklich genial :)
1: Sonos
2: Nest
3: gTar
4: Flickr
5: Built-in Flashlight (without all the 3rd-party funkiness)
Sprachbox Pro (Telekom)
IFTTT
Flickr
Sonos
Flipboard
- Sonos
- Horizon
- The Brain
- Runkeeper / Garmin Connect
- My Banking App
Plus: Withings,Chipolo, IFTTT, PushOver, Pebble, Spark Core, Effergy Engage, Glympse, Bike Repair Dropbox, Synology, Jamie Oliver Food.
... and all of Lotus
Hab nur 2 im Moment:
- Flipboard
- Wunderlist
Jede Menge "Sonos"-Nennungen.
1. Call a Bike
2. Google Music
3. A Kindle App supporting magazines
4. Threema (in the making)
5. Authy
karl: pocket = POKI (http://goo.gl/BaBC12), absolut top!
oliver: soundcloud = audiocloud (http://goo.gl/ZHMSL) besser geht's kaum.
auf nachfrage sagt flipboard via twitter: "While we don't have an ETA for you, the team is still working on it. Shouldn't be too much longer."
meine apps:
1. chromecast
2. dropbox (with auto-upload!)
3. handyticket
4. magine TV
"Looks like I moved all my friends to Sonos in time." (aus http://vowe.net/archives/013498.html ) :)
Only five? ;-)
Glympse
Sonos
Regenradar
Todoist
Firefox or Chrome
And games suitable for kids of 2-5 years.
I even can't name one...
Phonos works for me well, like 6tag works (instead of Instagram Beta) - just examples. I'm pretty happy, I think ;-)
