Pebbos :: Control your Sonos from Pebble

by Volker Weber

A simple Pebble.js app that allows you to control your Sonos speakers with your Pebble.

Open Source at Github. Available through the Pebble app on your smartphone. You just need to tell it the IP address for one player. It discovers the other players from there. Play, Pause, Next, Previous, Volume up and down. Very simple and straightforward.

Neat. Maybe I should try to program something like that for Android Wear. Unleass Sonos is already planning something like that.

Nice. Will give it a try when I get home.

And there is more to get in control: WeMote for Pebble, but it requires a running ouimeaux server.

Do you have a compiled version which you can send me? Unfortunately I am unable to build it by using the Github repository together with CloudPebble ...

Michael Urspringer, 2015-05-21 06:52

Can you download and install it from the Pebble App on your phone?

Volker Weber, 2015-05-21 06:55

Why the heck did I NOT read "Available through the Pebble app on your smartphone." but only clicked the Github link? :-( Maybe just too early in the morning ;-) Sorry ...

Michael Urspringer, 2015-05-21 07:32

Made it a big fat link. :-)

Volker Weber, 2015-05-21 09:01

Pro Tip: if you use special Characters in Sonos Names, Peppos will not find them. Also keine Umlaute :-)!
