Disable Twitter's autoplay feature now

Twitter has added a Video autoplay and the default is "Use mobile data and Wi-Fi". This serves but one purpose: let spammers run their "Sponsored tweets" in your face. I suggest you set this to Never play videos automatically. And block each and every account that spams you.

Komisch. Mein Twitter hat diese Einstellungen nicht obwohl vor 2 Tagen ein update kam (iPhone 6, iOS 8)
Ah.Jetzt.Ja: ich habe in den Einstellungen von iOS gesucht, nicht in den Einstellungen von Twitter! Dort findet man eine sehr ähnliche Seite wie die oben dargestellte nur eben ohne die Optionen mit Video usw.
Und übrigens: Facebook hat dasselbe "feature", auch hier bitte alle mal abschalten!
Facebook habe ich seit Jahren nicht mehr installiert.

Das blocken von "offiziellen" Werbe-Accounts: Ist das nicht ein Kampf gegen Windmühlen?

Hm, no option like that anywhere in my Android Twitter app.
Matthias, nein, keine Windmühle. Wenn Du einen Account gesperrt hast, kommt er nicht mehr wieder, kann auch Deine Tweets nicht mehr lesen und Dich nicht mehr belästigen. Aktuell habe ich etwas mehr als 1500 Accounts blockiert. Jeden Tag kommen ein paar dazu. Und sobald Twitter dann mal die Funktion liefert, Blocklisten zu ex- und importieren, dann skalieren wir das mal hoch.
as im still running the old twitter client, this doesnt bother me. I just refuse the update. still works fine.

I cannot export my list of blocked accounts, nor can I import a list.
