Microsoft, thank you for screwing me with an unwanted Windows 10 install. I was just lucky to have that particular virtual machine on backup. Restored. Now I am applying this registry fix to all of the remaining machines.

I did this a long time ago with my VMs. It was just a nightmare getting all these (useless?) updates and see them failing every second time. Now the Windows 7 VM lives isolated on my Mac without security updates, virus scanners and other junk. And it just works.
