Apple vs everybody else

by Volker Weber

Apple:

It's done. You can download it now.

Everybody else:

We have just released it. Users will start receiving it next week. We will now start lying to you.

Why seems Apple to be the only who does not depend on the carriers when rolling out updates? Just market power?

Dog wags tail.

Klasse, Volker. BS detection at its finest ;)

One of my PRIV's received the M update last week. Bought unlocked.
The other two, from Vodafone Romania, are still waiting for it.
Too bad Vodafone doesn't have a clue about I am talking about and adviced me to have patience "when it is ready, we will announce you"...
Sure.

It's an expression of self-confidence, really, which has helped a great deal to make Apple such a strong company: where possible, don't make promises until they are already fulfilled.

It looks so much more impressive than saying you will probably have something ready, soon.

Nick Daisley, 2016-05-03

update: Vodafone Romania just pushed the M update to my PRIV's.
So, BlackBerry kept its promise: May 3rd is the date for everyone.
I am NOT surprised by this.

spitz, fein, mit Hintergrund. Congrats Voker.

Also it seems to be the only to recognize their mistakes.
Three days for change the graphics card. (The nearest repair center is 500 kms from my house).
