The Art of Casey Neistat & His Impact on Filmmaking

by Volker Weber

Very good analysis by a film editor. Don't know Casey? Watch his latest. I suggest you subscribe. Casey publishes daily and it is a nice 10 minutes to look forward to.

I started watching Caseys videos three months ago and really missed them when he went on vacation last week ;)

The videos are certainly done very professionally. There seems to be a lot I do not understand, besides that.

I also started watching Casey a couple of months ago and then binge-watched as many episodes as I could. I then tried to convince my (20 yr +) kids that they should be watching him instead of what they currently subscribe to :-). That didn't work.

Another aspect that would be worth analyzing, in addition to editing, is how he uses music in his videos.

Anyway, as Thomas noted, I also missed the daily updates when he went on vacation.
