I was sick of waiting too, ordered on the first day and still got no invitation.
Solved my problem with Ebay Kleinanzeigen, a guy who lives 2 km from me an an original sealed Dot for 75 EUR, got it within 12 hours:

FWIW there is plenty of Echo dot at Amazon UK. You can ship to Germany from there with no issue.

Why US? Nur wegen der Wartezeit? Bei mir hat es von der Anforderung bis zur Lieferung 8 Tage gedauert. 13.1. angefordert 20.1. Freigabe 21.1. geliefert.
Die Logik der Zuteilung ist mir auch unverständlich, bei mir hat es vom Tag der Bekanntgabe bis heute(!) gedauert, bis ich endlich eine Einladung bekam. Und ich bin wahrlich kein schlechter Amazon Kunde (inkl Firefox Produkte etc.)
Aber egal, morgen kommt der Dot. :-) Jetzt muss Volker nur noch verraten, wie man bei Sonos in den Pre-Alpha Test Kanal kommt... ;-)
