Nebo

If you have a Surface Pro with Pen or an iPad Pro with Pencil, then you have to try Nebo, if you haven't seen it yet. Nebo lets you take notes with your pen, it transcribes your handwriting, lets you add sketches and diagrams, it even does math formulas. Export to Word or PDF (iOS).

Very impressive.

Absolut eindrucksvoll. Das eingebaut in OneNote...
Ich sehe gerade, das ist gratis. Where's the catch?

Impressive. Looks like a game changer to me.
Always was unimpressed with how digital paper would not allow blending in with a workflow where others and non-ink versions of my notes would come in. This looks like something I could actually use. Now. Finally an excuse for that next gen iPad or -sigh- surface machine.

For the records: It also works with Acer Switch Alpha 12, which isn't quite as expensive as the Surface Pro. Although the pen seems a little bit more sluggish in Nebo than in OneNote on the same machine.

Mindestens für die Schweizer Leser hier hat digitec heute grad ein Surface Pro 4 mit 256 Gb SSD im Angebot, CHF 1099.-

I already liked their alternative keyboard which supported handwriting recognition pretty well - and obviously as an alternative keyboard it is independent of any application. But especially when taking notes, the downside is that you don't have the full screen but only the keyboard area on the screen. When writing text (e.g. in Mail) this doesn't bother me that much, but when taking notes it does.

Will be interesting to see how both approaches complement each other or whether the "Share as Text" option will replace the alternative keyboard.

Volker, thank you for sharing. There is a list in the manufacturers website of compatible devices with Nebo. It's a pity that Nebo only works with active pens, not with capacitive ones.

Toll.

After using this for a month now, l am really fascinated. Using the alternative keyboard (e.g. right now) for normal applications and Nebo for taking notes during meetings and conference sessions, exporting my notes to OneNote for unified later use. Great stuff!
