Help me solve this AirPods issue

I replaced my AirPods and something disappeared. I want it back.
With iOS 11, Apple introduced a new feature for AirPods. You can set what the double-tap does individually for the left and the right AirPod. On the old AirPods I set the left one to call Siri and the right one to skip a track. I just found out this option is gone on the new ones. I have the old setup which is also missing the NextTrack option. Things I have tried to get this feature back:
- Reboot phone.
- Check firmware (3.7.2), hardware (1.0) for AirPods and iOS 11.2.1 for iPhone X and iPad Pro.
- Unpair AirPods and re-pair them.
- Unpair AirPods, reset AirPods to factory, re-pair them.
- Log out from iCloud and re-login.
Update: Resolved. I removed the new AirPods from any Bluetooth device that had seen them before. Connected the case to power. Reset by holding the case button until the amber light flashed three times. Then I re-paired with iPhone and the option is back. I don't really know why, but I am happy to have it back.

Denke liegt an der Firmware der AirPods. Meine das kam erst mit einer neuen Firmware das Feature. Glaube das Update könnte man auch gar nicht oder nur schwer forcen.
Warte einfach mal 1-2 Tage.
Yep, Daniel‘s most likely right. Been there, problem disappeared. Don’t know whether firmware updates can be forced for AirPods (try putting them into the case and connect to power), but I am confident that this will get sorted out without much of a hassle on your side.
@Daniel: Bist Du sicher, daß es eine neuere FW als die 3.7.2 gibt?
Ich habe ein anderes Problem mit den AirPods. Ich verwende sie mit einem Moto Z Android Handy und relativ häufig ist die maximale Lautstärke so begrenzt, daß ich sie voll aufdrehen muß, damit ich überhaupt eine akzeptable Lautstärke habe. Dann wieder ist die Lautstärke normal, d.h. bei 1/2 bis 2/3 habe ich eine akzeptable Lautstärke.
Hat jemand eine Idee woran das liegt und wie man es schafft immer den vollen Lautstärkebereich zur Verfügung zu haben?
Hilbert, eine Sache fällt mir ein. Mit manchen BT-Geräten ist die Lautstärke koordiniert, das heißt man kann sie auf beiden Seiten der BT-Strecke ändern. Die Gerätelautstärke regelt also die Kopfhörer-Lautstärke und umgekehrt. Bei anderen dagegen sind das zwei verschiedene Regler in Reihe Und da die Lautstärkeregelung eine Drossel ist, kann es sein, dass eine Seite schon mit halber Kraft fährt. Hast Du die Airpods auch an einem anderen Gerät? Wenn ja, dann dreh da mal ganz auf und verbinde sie danach mit Deinem Moto Z.
@Volker: hast Du die AirPods wegen dem Ladeproblem getauscht welches Du vor einiger Zeit beschrieben hattest?

@Volker: Ich habe die AirPods zwar auch mit meinem iPad Air 2 gekoppelt, allerdings eigentlich nur um mal den Akkustand zu testen (bevor es die Android App dafür gab) und den Firmwarestand zu prüfen. Ansonsten verwende ich die AirPods fast ausschließlich mit dem Moto Z.
Ich habe jetzt mal die AirPods zurückgesetzt, zuerst mit dem iPad und dann mit dem Moto Z gekoppelt (vorher hatte ich es umgekehrt gemacht) und dann beim iPad Bluetooth deaktiviert und trotzdem hatte ich am Moto Z zuerst den vollen Lautstärkebereich und dann wieder nur den reduzierten.
Ich werde jetzt die AirPods noch mal zurücksetzen und ausschließlich mit dem Moto Z koppeln, aber viel Hoffnung auf Besserung habe ich nicht.
Das klingt gar nicht gut. Ich denke, Du brauchst beim Moto einen Kopfhörer mit eigenen Controls.
