April 2018 Update for Windows 10

I upgraded Windows 10 on five computers over the weekend. Two of those are daily drivers: Microsoft Surface Pro and Lenovo Yoga Book. I also updated my Surface 3 which serves as a backup as well as two old Lenovo Yoga 3 Pro and Yoga Tab 10. Just because I can. While the Android versions of those Lenovo Machines have long been abandoned, the Windows 10 versions are always up-to-date. Score one more for Microsoft.

I would love to use the Yoga 3 Pro but the keyboard has a fatal flaw. There is an additional column of keys to the right and that throws me off. Two years ago I briefly tried an X1 Carbon and that keyboard immediately made me feel at home. 20 years agoe I was using Thinkpads only, before I switched to Apple. I started on a ThinkPad 700, which was the original Richard Saper design. As fantastic as the X1 Carbon felt, I now need touch and ink, so I would have to go with the X1 Yoga.

Windows 10 April 2018 has a few productivity enhancements and Timeline is one of those I really love. The other one I need is Focus Mode:

Edge is my main browser -- yes, really -- and I welcome the enhancements in the April 2018 update:

Andere wichtige Tools fürs Betriebssystem fehlen leider immer noch (Backup a la TimeMachine, Preview usw.).
