Google to demand regular Android security patches from OEMs

Dave Kleidermacher who leads mobile security at Google:
We’ve also worked on building security patching into our OEM agreement. Now this will really lead to a massive increase in the number of devices, and users, receiving regular security patches.
Dave used to Work for BlackBerry and put them on a monthly patch cycle (which they are struggling to serve). It is unclear what kind of update schedule Google will demand for licensing Android.

Android Enterprise Recommended ensuressecurity patches are delivered within 90 days, so it going to be less than this I would think
