Let's start with a bombshell: this 1080p camera costs only 20 US-$. And you can't buy it here. No CE certification.
There is a very long list of features and use cases, that I will go through, but let me start by saying this might be the offer you cannot refuse. It is very inexpensive and powerful at the same time. How did I get it? Johannes bought a few in the US and gave one of them to me. Usually I won't accept a product not from the vendor. I don't want you to spend money on samples. But I will make an exception here.
1080p video gets recorded, end-to-end encrypted and you can watch it live on your iPhone or Android. You can set a variety of triggers (motion, sound, beeps from smoke or CO detectors) and it will record 15 seconds of footage and store them in the AWS cloud for 14 days. You can set it to continously record to microSD storage (not included) and it will overwrite the oldest video as the card fills up. The app will allow you to watch the continuous recording without removing the storage card. Wyze has added IFTTT support so you can trigger other actions. Vice versa you can let IFTTT trigger the camera to record or change its alert settings. IFTTT also gives Wyze Cam geofencing support. Switch on alerts when you are not at home, for instance.
The camera is powered through a microUSB-port and it has a USB-A port to daisychain up to three Wyze Cams from a single power source. The app will let you control multiple cams. Like many other webcams it has night vision through a infrared LED that illuminates the scene in the dark.
Beyond that, it has some pretty advanced features. The camera does motion sensing and tagging. It will put a frame around moving objects in the footage and you can set a motion detection zone, so a cat won't trigger an alert but a human will. If you want to watch your pets, you can also set the camera to record time lapse videos to local storage.
The camera itself feels really cheap. It's just a small white box with a tilt and swivel grey stand. The stand contains a magnet so you can attach it to metal surfaces. It comes with a metal base and an adhesive so you can attach it to a wall. It's indoors only. No battery, no water resistance.
Pretty impressive for $20, right?

Das mit der SD-Karte klingt nicht schlecht. Ist dann eine Cloud-Anbindung noch zwingend erforderlich, oder funktioniert das auch nur im eigenen WLAN? Suche noch eine einfache Lösung zur Baby-Überwachung als Ergänzung zu einem Babyfon. Die Idee ist bei Geräuschen kurz das Live-Bild anzuschauen, ob man tätig werden muss, oder ob sich das Kind schon wieder beruhig hat. Bräuchte daher auch keine Push-Benachrichtigungen. Würde das auch nur zu Hause nutzen, daher müsste das nicht zwingend durch die Cloud geschleust werden, auch wenn es Ende-zu-Ende verschlüsselt ist.
Es gibt zwar auch spezialisierte Lösungen mit dazugehörigem Endgerät (z. B. von Philips oder Samsung), die sind aber preislich in ganz anderen Regionen. Andere Smart-Cams (Arlo Baby, iBaby etc.) setzen ja eine Cloud-Anbindung voraus und kosten auch deutlich mehr.
Wahrscheinlich ist das von mir gedachte Nutzungsprofil aber auch ein wenig speziell (Babyfon + Cam), die Mehrheit sucht wahrscheinlich eine All-in-One Lösung dafür.
Die Cam kann auch Babyfon spielen - hat Audio/Sound in beide Richtungen.
Mit SD Karte klappt es auch ohne WLAN, habe ich ausprobiert. Du brauchst nach dem Setup keine Cloud Anbindung mehr.

Where did you order the cam ? Wyzecam does not deliver to France (US only). And it is the same on amazon.

Das ist jetzt alles ein bisschen durcheinander.
1. Ja, Du brauchst WLAN. So redet die App mit der Kamera.
2. Nein, Du musst nichts in der Cloud speichern. Du kannst jederzeit das Livebild der Kamera sehen.
3. Wenn Du eine Speicherkarte hast, kannst du fortlaufend aufzeichnen. Diese Aufzeichnung kannst Du in der App anschauen. Die Daten bleiben in der Kamera. Wenn die Karte voll läuft, werden die ältesten Videos gelöscht.
4. Wenn Du Alerts einschaltest, dann kriegst Du eine Benachrichtigung. Die Kamera speichert bei jedem Alert 15 Sekunden auf AWS, damit Du sehen kannst, was los war. Nach zwei Wochen löschen sie die Videos wieder. Es gibt alle möglichen Alerts, etwa bei Sound oder Bewegung. Ich bin relativ sicher, dass Du das bei einem Babyfone am Ende haben willst.
Mikro und Lautsprecher sind drin. Ich weiß aber nicht, ob Du das Baby mit so einem blechernen Klang erschrecken willst. :-)
Das klingt an sich vielversprechend, danke für die Antworten. Das Babyfon an sich ist ja schon vorhanden, die Kamera würde nur helfen, dass man nicht bei jedem Fehlalarm die Treppe rauf muss. Alarm und Sprachfunktion sind daher nicht so wichtig. Dann warte ich mal den 30. ab, vielleicht ist ja danach die Beschaffung einfacher.
fehlt also noch einer von uns, der die Sammelbestellung organisiert. 😇
Ich habe die von chris frei bei Amazon gefundene Variante bestellt. Beide Apps (iSmartAlarm und Wyze App) lassen sich in DE herunterladen und sehen innen sehr, sehr ähnlich aus. Die iSmartAlarm fragt beim Einrichten eines Accounts nach der Mobilnummer und schickt dort einen Code zur Authentifizierung hin. Die Wyze App macht das Ganze nur mit der E-Mail-Adresse – eigentlich sympathischer. Das Hinzufügen einer Camera sieht auch sehr ähnlich aus, allerdings lässt sich die iSmartAlarm Kamera nicht erfolgreich über die Wyze App mit dem WLAN verbinden. Falls es mir doch irgendwie gelingt, werde ich es hier vermelden.
