Every secure messaging app needs a self-destruct button
by Volker Weber
The growing presence of encrypted communications apps makes a lot of communities safer and stronger. But the possibility of physical device seizure and government coercion is growing as well, which is why every such app should have some kind of self-destruct mode to protect its user and their contacts.
Agreed. Did you know about the 5x power?
Update: the least detectable way to disable FaceID or TouchID is to hold down the power button and one of the volume keys. These are on opposite sides for all iPhone X*.

Aus dem Artikel: "[...] and Apple has thoughtfully developed an “emergency mode” (activated by hitting the power button five times quickly) that locks the phone to biometrics and will wipe it if it is not unlocked within a certain period of time."
Der erste Teil stimmt. (siehe https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT208076 )
FaceID weiter aktiv..?
Drücken und HALTEN.
Ah, bis zum "Ausschalten". Nach Abbruch ist dann PIN erforderlich. Danke!
Laut Artikel soll sich das Telefon ja angeblich selbst löschen wenn man diesen 5x Power-Button-Modus aktiviert hat "not unlocked within a certain period of time".
(Da schweigt Apple sich zu aus.)
Ich halte das für Wunschdenken des Autors.
