HCL and IBM to finalize their deal tomorrow

by Volker Weber

Hogne quotes from a letter than went out to IBM business partners within the last 24 hours.

Dear Valued Partner:

On December 6, 2018, IBM and HCL Technologies (“HCL”) announced a definitive agreement under which HCL will acquire the select IBM software products listed above (collectively, the “Collaboration, Commerce, Digital Experience, AppScan, and BigFix Solutions”). IBM and HCL have reached a definitive agreement to finalize the transaction on June 30, 2019. A list of Part Numbers included in this transaction can be found here. IBM and HCL will collaborate closely to ensure a smooth transition throughout this process.

This has taken a bit longer than initially expected because of the longest government shutdown in US history. With the transition of the business HCL will finally be able to execute their plans.
