Poly Blackwire 8225 :: New wired headset with ANC, inbound and outbound

Introducing the Blackwire 8225 premium corded headset. This new addition to our family features acoustic excellence from Poly — hybrid active-noise cancelling (ANC) and our signature Acoustic Fence noise cancelling technology to ensure an exceptional audio experience for both ends of the call.
Fancy words. Let's compile them:
- Hybrid active-noise cancelling means there is a feedforward ANC that listens to the noise outside the headset and a feedback ANC that listens into the ear. This adds a phase shifted noise signal in two stages. Basically the same thing that everything else from AirPods Pro to Jabra Elite 85h does.
- Acoustic Fence noise cancelling technology means there is a DSP that compiles the audio signals picked up through three microphones at the end, the tip and the outside of the microphone boom.
- Blackwire means it is wired to your computer via USB.
There is a lot going on in the market right now. All the vendors are certifying their headsets for Microsoft Teams, which guarantees a certain audio quality and also requires a dedicated Teams button and a status LED for incoming messages. Add an indicator that you are currently in a call and you are good to go.
Generally speaking, a USB-wired headset gives you better sound, but I still prefer the convenience of a Bluetooth connection.
Can you spot what's wrong with this photo? It should show an R instead of an L.

And the wire looks pretty red to me, for a Blackwire names device :-)
The beam is twisted towards the back of the head. Can tilt both ways if you want it on the left ear, but then the L makes only sense to indicate the default orientation. Photo-fail.
Thanks, Volker, for your updates on headsets, I am following closely. Especially the 'outbound' ANC is usually not mentioned / advertised or simply does not work as expected.
Regarding the picture - thats the new cool, like wearing a basecap backwards was. Wearing your mic-boom backwards. On your red-wired Blackwire ;)
