The best COVID-19 response in the world :: Indi Samarajiva
by Volker Weber
Starting in January, Mongolia executed a perfect public health response, and they have never let up the pressure since. COVID-19 did not just leave Mongolia alone. Mongolia kicked its ass. ...
Just look for yourself. See the actions they took, when they took them, and how effective it was. I think you’ll be as mind-blown as I was. Mongolia’s response was intense, and somehow involved 30,000 sheep.
I think Iceland has shown the best resolve. Their logistic curve is now completely flat.

Genial. Genial geschrieben, genial reagiert.
A bit narrow sighted her articles. She considers a higher GDP something that should make it easier to react better, I see a higher GDP something that makes it harder resulting in a much harder impact from lockdown etc.. Some decisions are easier made if you have little to lose.
That being said the lack of preparation compared to Mongolia was a real failure of especially the Western world.
I also thought about the impact of measures. Mongolias economy seems to be 0,33% of the German one (GDP). That makes it harder to buy solutions but easier to move.
But yes, I also prepared at the end of january.
Thanks, Volker.
Hier noch ein kurzer Auszug;
"In order to make western readers feel better about themselves, they are reading stupid, racist articles that ultimately get them killed. And I don’t just blame this on an amorphous media, white people are really just blind. It’s not personal racism, it’s just structural. This was dangerous to everyone else for decades, but now it’s also dangerous to them.“
Mongolei: 3.791
Vietnam: 2.828
Deutschland: 42.922
