Apple One funktioniert für mich nicht

Seit letzter Woche Freitag kann man Apple One buchen. 15 Euro im Monat, darin sind enhalten: Apple Music, Apple TV, Apple Arcade und 50 GB iCloud. Macht 180 Euro im Jahr.
Apple Music ist gesetzt, das verlängere ich jetzt um ein Jahr. Apple TV ist "ganz nett", aber die App ärgert mich schon lange damit, dass Sie mir Vorschläge macht, die ich dann erst noch kaufen soll. Daran bin ich nicht interessiert und das kann ich auch nicht abschalten.
Apple Arcade interessiert mich nicht, und 50 GB iCloud sind ein Witz. Ich zahle also weiter 100 Euro für Apple Music und deutlich weniger als 80 Euro für Microsoft 365. Das reicht dann für sechs Leute mit Word, Excel, Powerpoint, Outlook, Teams und 1000 GB OneDrive (also 6000 GB) in der Cloud.

Ich kann Dich gut verstehen, Volker. Ich habe bisher ähnlich entschieden.
Die Preise für Storage bei Apple sind nicht mehr zeitgemäß.
Ich zahle die 2.99 EUR für 200GB für Photos und Apple Music 14,95 für das Family-Abo. Also 18 statt 20 EUR bei Apple One. Für ist Arcade uninteressant und AppleTV+ aktuell keine Subscription wert.
Trau mich nicht, unsere Fotos nur in OneDrive zu haben statt im Apple Fotos - sonst würde ich auch die O365 Abo Variante wählen. Quasi locked-in bei Apple für Foto-Storage.
@Volker: Wie machst Du das mit den iPhone/Apple Fotos und OneDrive?
Ich sichere alle Fotos auf OneDrive und Google Photos. Die 50 GB würden nicht mal annähernd reichen.
Kann ich gut nachvollziehen. Wir haben einen Familienaccount bei Spotify und 200 GB iCloud. Apple One ist schon nicht uninteressant für uns.
Die Familienoption ist deutlich attraktiver als die für Einzelne. Muss ich mir direkt überlegen, aber nur wenn AppleTV+ sich als festes Familienmitglied etablieren kann.
Die 50GB iCloud sind natürlich Kappes. Es lohnt sich eigentlich nur, wenn man jetzt schon alle Dienste nutzt. Ich habe kein Interesse an Arcade, also bin ich im Einzelkauf immer noch billiger.
Mal ganz abgesehen davon, dass Apple One auf meinen Geräten gar nicht als Bestelloption auftaucht - aus welchen Gründen auch immer.
@Oliver: sehe ich genauso - falls du wie ich 2TB zur Zeit beziehst, dann wird dir Apple One nicht angezeigt. Man muss wohl zuerst kündigen und dann taucht Apple One auf.
Apple iCloud storage tiers are ridiculous. In my opinion they should be like this:
- 50 GB: Free
- 200GB: 0,99€
- 500GB: 2,99€
- 2TB: 9,99€
I pay 9,99€ for 2TB and I only use less than 400GB for my iCloud photo library, because I like the convenience of having all my photos on all my devices. I only use Google Photos as a low resolution backup.
The 500GB tier would be perfect for me and it should be included in the Apple One Family plan, instead of 200GB.
You don't understand how the pricing works.
First you collect data to see how much storage space people need. Then you create your tiers, making sure that everybody pays for the next higher tier.
5 GB: useless
50 GB: not enough for backups
200 GB: not enough for photos
2 TB: get this one
I understand how pricing works, I just think it's wrong and Apple, of all companies, shouldn't play those games. I mean, selling storage isn't their business. Happy and loyal customers are.
It actually is their business now. And Apple breaks it out in their financial reports. Last quarter the company made $14.5B from it, up from $12.5B yoy.
