Microsoft Teams to get multi-account sign-in support in December
by Volker Weber
Microsoft Teams is finally slated to get multi-account sign-in as of December 2020, according to a new addition to its Microsoft 365 roadmap.
Update: Zu früh gefreut.
Sorry to be the bearer of bad news. Microsoft isn't yet ready to provide the Teams multi-user sign-in capabilities that many users have requested. Instead, they're starting w. one personal and one work account in December: https://t.co/FzLtnCx6Ub pic.twitter.com/beaMbsMjzR

What a relief! A “finally” seems appropriate here. No more iOS/second device workarounds.
I have two accounts for different companies and both want to manage the device / the app via Intune. I guess I will still be out of luck when this new feature rolls out.
I think I don't get the issue. I have three accounts and can switch between them within the app (PC and phone) today?
You can switch tenants but not IDs. You may have one AAD account and be a guest in different tennants, but you cannot have multiple AAD accounts logged in at the same time. One AAD (business) and one Microsoft ID (personal). That's it.
But I'll still only be online for one account at a time? So if I'm working as a guest in another tenant, I'll still be offline for my own company? The Roadmap says
"We're adding support within Teams desktop to be able to add one personal account, along with one work/school account, change their profile picture, and switch between accounts and orgs through Settings."
Sorry, but that sounds pretty useless. The average user will have exactly one account and use it in his own company and as a guest in other tenants. We need to get messages and calls from all connected companies without manually switching between them.
