Amazon listet den AirPods Max als "Nicht auf Lager". Aber sie nehmen Bestellungen an und sie liefern auch. Wer also unbedingt einen haben will, sollte einfach ordern.

Martin, they are indeed very expensive and I will not argue with your wife. This is a luxury item that one can easily live without.
Martin, I suffer from the amazon.es price-discrimination too. (I live in Xàtiva).
I suspect it's because at the moment they actually still deliver quite a lot of the goods from Germany and France, and that as they expand more in Spain, the prices will drop to German levels. Also, I have the impression that the Germans compare prices more than the Spanish, and that amazon maybe has to offer more competitive prices in Germany.
If you‘re in spain, you can just order from Amazon germany. Your account will work for any Amazon site. I already did this the other way round in the past when spain had a better price.
Yes, Thomas. But usually, that only works if the price difference is large because you have to pay more for delivery to Spain from Germany than for local delivery.
For the AirPods it would be worth it, but often amazon.es keeps the price difference small enough to be irritating, but not so large that it's worth paying the transport from DE. :-(
Martin: AFAIK the lower regular VAT is lower in Germany than Spain and currently it is even lowered more in Germany because of Covid-19. I do not now whether it is also lowered in Spain. Maybe this also causes parts of the price difference.

Momentan liefert Apple auch vergleichsweise zügig: Ich hatten auf diesen Hinweis hin am 21.12. gleichzeitig bei Amazon und Apple bestellt. Ursprüngliches Datum bei Apple: Ende März. Gestern haben sie sich gestern bei Apple dann plötzlich auf den Weg gemacht und in diesem Moment läuft schon Volkers Soundcheck Playlist. :) (Favorit bisher übrigens der Yello Track...)
