Home screen reorganized for iOS 14
by Volker Weber
For the first time in many years, I have reorganized my home screen: One page with my 20 most used apps. Nothing left of that screen, everything else in the App Library to the right, for a total of 93 apps. (Find your number in Settings → General → About)

I now have just one page with 8 apps in the first two rows and a giant calendar widget (3/4 of the overall height) below. In the bottom bar I have phone/messages/mail and a folder with my favorite apps (15). Really great to finally have that option.
Ah, you just reminded me that you can put those widgets onto the same pages as the apps. Thank you vowe.
Through the beta period, I’ve gradually moved away from traditional app pages altogether. One page of widgets and the App Library. I’ve always searched rather than scrolling so that works much better for my workflow. 632 apps here - must have a cleanup soon!
I did something similar but added a second page with two of the Siri suggestions widgets on it so that other common apps I use would show up there for quicker access.
Have you changed the middle screenshot? I thought I saw all four battery rings used, the right bottom with AirPods. What is the top right ring?
Sven, that is the battery case.
93? Volker I just love the consistency with which you follow your own recommendations 😂 https://vowe.net/archives/017378.html
I know you want to be a smartass. But at the time of that post I had 99. Always keep them below 100, but never delete any that come with the OS. How many do you have?
May I ask: why nothing to the left?
Not a joke - I also have exactly 93 apps 😂
Ops, I just have 58 apps installed.
