Here is when Sonos wants to bring back the features they “forgot” in the new update:
- Screen reader for visually impaired customers: May 21
- Adding and editing alarms: May 21
- Adding to queue and playing next: early June
- Sleep timer: mid-June
- Local music library search and playback: mid-June
- Update Wi-Fi settings: mid-June
Let’s just say that Sonos customers have not been thrilled. I had already split ways with the company when they asked their old customers to destroy old gear in exchange for a discount for new gear.

Ich habe auch alle möglichen Sonos Produkte, aber der Aufruf die alten Geräte zu zerstören: Das Sonos, werdet Ihr bei mir nicht mehr los. Die Geräte stehen im Regal und werden nicht mehr genutzt. Diese Rolle, und deutlich mehr, haben jetzt Amazon Geräte eingenommen (meine HiFi Affinität hat doch sehr stark nachgelassen🤣).
Ich habe mich von Sonos gedanklich verabschiedet, als alte Hardware wegen neuer nur noch eingeschränkt unterstützt wurde. So alt war der „alte“ Kram halt noch nicht.
Wir nutzen noch ein paar Play:1 im Garten und sonst wo, kaufen werde ich von Sonos aber nichts mehr.
(Eine tolle Alternative habe ich aber auch noch nicht gefunden.) Gibt es vllt hier eine Empfehlung? Mit dem HomePod mini bin ich nicht sonderlich zufrieden. Hängt zu oft, ist zu langsam oder macht komische Dinge, weil Siri 2024 leider immer noch nicht die hellste Kerze auf dem Kuchen ist.
