Ich nutze es nur auf dem Mac. Auch da: „Dieses Update enthält eine wichtige Ankündigung Pixelmator Pro betreffend“ (Version 3.6.15 664,6MB). Die Pro-Version hatte ich 2017 gekauft, seitdem gab es eine beeindruckende Pflege und Weiterentwicklung, alle Updates waren kostenlos. Es ist mein bevorzugtes Bildbearbeitungsprogramm und ich wüsste nicht, was besser werden könnte. Das Entwicklerteam in Vilnius schrieb, sie erhoffen sich davon mehr Reichweite und eine größere Zielgruppe, „aufregende Updates“ würden kommen. Bin gespannt.
Apple has a good track record in buying promising things and screw them up subsequently.
Or simply losing interest.
So I have no good feelings about that.
I also think the acquisitions of NeXT went really bad.
On a more serious note: Which Fortune 500 company does not have a long list of acquisitions where they majorly screw up existing products?
Apple did screw up some but to me their track record seems rather better than most, when I e.g. think of Google, Facebook, Microsoft, and Amazon.
Oh, I am a big fan of objects sending messages; Objective-C and Cocoa will always have a special place in my heart.
But mentioning the bad luck or missing ambitions from above I need to say just a single word: Siri. 🙂
