Das wirklich Erschreckende ist nicht, dass AI so einen Quatsch erzählt. Wenn man zu einem Thema fragt, in dem man sich auskennt, sieht man das ja auf Anhieb. Der Horror liegt im Vertrauen der Ahnungslosen in diese Schwatzmaschinen.

Copilot zählt das noch mal genau auf und man sieht dann, wo der Beschiss ist.

      1. Hmh. Ich kann mir nicht helfen, aber bei diesem Zitat frag’ ich jetzt einfach mal um des Humors willen, ob dann der Unterschied zwischen Teenager und ChatGPT 5 vielleicht kleiner wird oder gegen null geht?

  5. I recently tested out Chat-GPT by asking about my local park. It took most of its information from the park’s Wikipedia page (which is fair enough, and of course was accurate because I wrote most of it) but also came up with some nonsense from elsewhere.
    I was charmed, however, by how gracefully Chat-GPT apologised for its misinformation and took on board my corrections. I made the same test again this morning in response to your article, and noted that it had indeed learned something from my expertise….!

    1. Which doesent make it better. Because no you also have to take into account that one of the many „smart“ people out there taught something to ChatGPT which is total horsecrap. 🤣

      1. Exactly. I could have decided to fill it with further nonsense, but at least on this particular small and insubstantial subject, it comes a little closer to accuracy.

        (Which of course is also true of Wikipedia, as the original source for so much of this ‘learning’ – you just have to hope that the impetus is towards truth and enlightenment rather than the opposite)

  6. At least those maps look (vaguely) like Germany. I fairly recently asked some AI to create a map of Islay with all the distilleries. Yikes. I have no idea what the shapes it drew were supposed to be. Not to mention that not a single name came even close to the real names.
