Today, I downloaded a new version of Copilot from the App Store. I am on the beta insider channel and finally, finally, Copilot gets real. I have access to old conversations, and I can delete them selectively. Also, straight answers instead of gaslighting me. I like.
The fine print at the bottom tells it like it is. You are training the AI. Take that into account. It is not working with a local LLM, no matter what hardware you are using. Everything goes to the cloud.
Sometimes you don’t want it to be trained by your Input but answer to a specific topic. Certain chatbots come to my mind. But generally it is correct. If you want real LLM you should use one in the cloud. Some Models are also restricted and only available in the cloud.
